Face the world with a rejuvenated mind and body…

Is stress stacking up on you, layer by layer? Our unique custom massages can remove the layers, one by one. By using a mixture of well-tried, proven healing therapies we'll smooth out the kinks, to leave you feeling relaxed again, and ready for anything. Re:Treat’s individual approach to massage means that any treatment will be designed just for you:

● Feeling the results of over exertion in the gym? We'll work out a program that will soothe the discomfort of over-stretched muscles.

● Troubled by stiff and painful joints? Let us work to improve your joint range of motion and ease the pain.

● Feeling stressed out? At odds with life? Even emotional issues can be helped, as your muscles become less stressed and tight.

Our custom massage draws on ancient therapies used all over the world, these include:

Reiki - A Reiki session can leave you with a feeling of deep peace and contentment.
This ancient form of ‘laying on of hands’ is derived from Tibetan Buddhism and uses the body’s natural life force to heal and release – physically, mentally and spiritually.
We also use Chakra crystals in Reiki to help balance the meridians.

Swedish massage – True calm from massage. The changing pressures of the strokes in a Swedish massage - softer over more sensitive parts of the body, stronger over more muscled areas – improve circulation and flush out toxins to reduce emotional and physical stress.

Thai massage - Thai massage uses passive stretching and gentle pressure to balance the body’s energy systems. A Thai massage will leave you deeply relaxed and energized, with increased flexibility in muscles and joints.

Hopi candles - Named after the Native American tribe who first brought this therapy to the West, Hopi candles soothe irritated areas and stimulate circulation. Some problems helped by Hopi candles include snoring, tinnitus, excess ear wax, migraine, vertigo etc.

LA Stone Therapy – The relaxing feel of heated black basalt lava stones and cool white marble. Use LA Stone therapy for a really deep-tissue cleansing treatment which promotes healing within the body: improving circulation and the elimination of toxins. It is brilliant for people who (for whatever reason) find traditional deep tissue work too uncomfortable.

Deep Tissue massage - Using slower, firmer strokes and pressure than other treatments, Deep Tissue massage works on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Firm finger pressure is used to concentrate on particular areas, following or going across the fibres of muscles and tendons, and promoting blood flow and healing as it does so.

Aromatherapy – Do you love the smell of flowers? Take it a bit further and try Aromatherapy. "Essential Oils" (volatile plant oils) are so powerful that they can be used for the treatment or prevention of disease. Designed to treat the whole person, not just the symptom or disease, Aromatherapy works by assisting the body's natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself.

Lymphatic drainage – Lymph is the body’s mechanism for removing toxins. The Lymphatic drainage massage uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase lymphatic flow. Lymphatic drainage can really help if you suffer regularly from common illnesses such as colds. It's also ideal for those who lead sedentary lifestyles.

Reflexology - The foot massage that helps heal the rest of you. By massaging or squeezing different parts of the foot, beneficial effects can be felt in other parts of the body. Your hands and ears may also be massaged.

Sports massage - Releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system is an important part of Sports massage. If you’re an athlete, Sports massage can prevent injuries caused by overuse, making it as important to your body as your training schedule.

Indian Head massage - Indian head massage releases the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. Drawn from ayurvedic systems of healing as practised in India for over a thousand years, it can help you relax and heal as well as boosting hair growth.

What people say...

Gabrielle Lewry - Photographer.
'I have been coming to Danielle at Re:Treat for eight years now. I have had problems with tension in my neck and shoulders and find the Deep Tissue massage is the one thing that sorts it out. Danielle's massages are deeply relaxing and she amazes me with her ability to always find the spot which needs working on. She is very intuitive and has helped me to realize emotional blockages which I didn't even realize were there. I would recommend her to anyone for a massage.'

Ann Topping - Housing Support Team Manager.
I have been coming to Danielle for over 8 years now. We met when she worked at the Me! Clinic where she treated me with reflexology. I now have regular treatments alternating between reflexology and aromatherapy.
I have tried various clinics but I was particuarly impressed with how Danielle treats you as an individual and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. She has also been cutting my hair for about a year and a half. As someone who doesn’t like going to the hairdresser, it is great to finally find someone who listens to what I want but also has good suggestions of new ways to style my hair.

Robin - I've been regularly going to Danielle at Retreat for massage for nine years. Danielle provides a warm, friendly and relaxing environment. I have found from my treatments that going regularly greatly reduces my general level of tension, which allows me to shrug off the tensions of everyday life much more easily. I have found Danielle skillful and versatile massure and would greatly recommend her to anyone else.'

All staff are fully qualified and insured so you know you're in safe hands.
